How much do I tip the movers?

The amount for tipping for movers is no different than tipping for anything else in New York, the standard 20%. Your moving consultant can add the tip in your bill if you would like.

How big are your boxes?

We have 4 different box sizes available. Our small boxes are 1.5 cubic feet they are perfect for books. We have medium sized boxes which are 3 cubic feet it is great for storing clothing. And our large boxes are 5 cubic feet, they are great for dishes and china. We also offer wardrobe boxes, they have a bar on top for hanging clothing. They are 24″ x 21″ x 48″. We also have bins available for rent and they are 17″ x 27″ x 12″.

What are "Green Bins"?

“Green Bins” are plastic bins you can rent from our company. It is a great way to cut back on waste produced by moving boxes. The movers drop off your bins for you and pick them up after your move.

What insurance does your company offer?

Our standard insurance is 60 cents per pound. So depending on how much your item weighed will determine how much you will get compensated. Our company offers a variety of different insurances that your moving consultant will go over with you.

Do you charge hourly or by the job?

We normally charge by the job. You can request to pay for the move hourly but that is only recommended if you are moving within the same building and a moving truck is not needed.

Can you move me cross country or to another country?

We can move you anywhere you want in the United States. Your move doesn’t have to involve coming or going to New York. We can also coordinate your international move as well.

Why don't you move?

Pets, food, and vehicles or anything with gasoline (lawn movers can be moved without fuel).

Do you move pianos?

Yes, we do.
